UnclutrdFlow is an Android app that saves what you capture and uses AI to sort it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and how you delete it.
“We” and “us” mean Ijlal Nasir, the developer of UnclutrdFlow, based in Pakistan. We are the controller of your personal data. Write to support@unclutrdflow.com with any question.
The short version
- We store your notes so they sync to your account. We don’t sell them, and we don’t use them to target ads.
- To sort, summarise and answer questions, the text of your notes goes to Anthropic’s AI. Voice goes to Soniox or Groq to become text. None of them may train models on it.
- “Transcribe on this phone only” keeps your voice on your phone. “Sort with AI” off sends nothing for sorting.
- Usage analytics and crash reports are on by default, and each has an off switch in Profile → AI & data.
- Delete your account in the app and your notes, photos and recordings are deleted.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address and the name you give. With Google sign-in, also your Google profile name and photo. With email sign-in, your password is handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see it.
What you capture
The text you type or dictate, voice transcripts, photos you attach and the text read from them, links you save with their page title and description, and what the app adds: categories, titles, tags, due dates, reminder times, collections and weekly summaries. Also your settings, such as theme, languages you speak and notification times.
Voice
Audio of your voice notes, only while it is being transcribed. See Voice.
Usage and diagnostics (optional)
Which screens and features you use and how long things take (never the content of your notes), crash reports, and the Firebase installation and app-instance IDs that tie these together. No user ID is attached.
Purchases
If you subscribe to Pro, Google Play handles payment; we never see your card. RevenueCat receives your purchase record and an anonymous app user ID so the app knows you have Pro.
Ads (free version)
Google AdMob shows a banner in the free version. It may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions to show, measure and limit ads. In the EEA, the UK and places with similar laws, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice in the app.
We don’t collect your location, contacts, call logs or the content of other apps. We only see what you share with UnclutrdFlow.
How we use it
- To run the app: sync your notes, sort them, transcribe voice, schedule reminders, write weekly summaries and answer Ask questions.
- To keep it fair and safe: count daily free sorts and voice time, and check requests come from the real app (Firebase App Check).
- To make it better: find crashes and slow screens, and learn which features help, from the optional analytics.
- To help you: reply when you write to support.
Our legal bases are the contract with you (running the app), your consent (analytics, crash reports and personalised ads, each of which you can withdraw), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Who processes it
These companies process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us:
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): sign-in, the database and file storage for your notes and photos, our server functions, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring and Remote Config.
- Anthropic (Claude): receives the text of a capture to sort it, a week’s notes to write your summary, and your question with the notes that match it for Ask. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
- Soniox: live voice transcription. Audio is processed as you speak, not stored, and not used for training.
- Groq: transcribes a voice recording when live transcription can’t run. The audio isn’t kept after transcription.
- RevenueCat: Pro subscription status.
- Google AdMob: ads in the free version.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety or our rights. If UnclutrdFlow is ever sold or merged, your data would move under this policy and we would tell you first.
Voice
When you speak a note, the audio streams to Soniox, which turns it into text as you talk. If live transcription can’t run, the app records the audio and later sends it to Groq to transcribe; the recording is deleted from our storage once it has been transcribed. Neither keeps your audio or trains on it.
Turn on Profile → Capture → Transcribe on this phone only and your phone’s own speech recogniser is used instead: your voice never leaves the phone.
Where it’s stored
Your account and notes are stored on Google Cloud in the United States. If you live elsewhere, your data is transferred there under the safeguards the processors provide, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and our security rules let only your signed-in account read your notes.
How long we keep it
- Your account and notes: until you delete them or your account.
- A deleted note: removed from our database straight away, with its photo.
- Voice audio: not stored by Soniox; a recording is deleted once transcribed.
- Daily usage counters: 35 days.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Analytics: no more than 14 months, and not linked to your account.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as tax and billing law requires.
Your choices and rights
- See, edit and delete any note in the app.
- Turn off AI sorting, usage analytics or crash reports in Profile → AI & data.
- Change your ad consent from the app’s settings.
- Delete your account in the app, or by email.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to support@unclutrdflow.com and we will reply within 30 days. We don’t sell or share personal data as California law defines it.
Children
UnclutrdFlow is for adults. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
This website
unclutrdflow.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other sites. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date above. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
